Hi everyone, I’m Lily! I’m the heart and soul behind Willow & Whiskers. I have loved animals since before I can even remember, and have been told that “puppy!!” was one of my first words. I think I’ve said it almost every day since.

I started pet sitting in high school, and then began working at a dog boarding and daycare facility where I stayed for four years. I did just about every role there, starting in an entry-level position and eventually moving up to Operations Supervisor and Operations Manager. While there, I was able to experience and work with dogs of every single shape, size, breed, and temperament. I also developed my organizational skills by coordinating staff and overseeing the health and safety of 140+ pets a day!

I truly love all animals — dogs, cats, horses, small critters, reptiles, and more. My favorite “brand” of pup has always been the one that take a bit longer to warm up to you, because it makes their love and trust mean that much more when I earn it! I have a dog of my own named Nova (the most perfect pit mix <3) who I’ve had for over six years. Nova is definitely a picky pup and has some traits that others may find “annoying,” but I see her for who she is — a special girl who just needs to be set up for success by those around her. I help Nova in the areas where she needs it, and I think all pets deserve that.

Willow & Whiskers came to be because after leaving my position at the daycare, I realized I don’t want to live another day where I don’t get to see these four-legged friends. I want to make sure that every pet gets the love, care, and attention that they deserve, and that every pet owner feels comfortable when leaving their loved ones home.
